Artem Shilo no longer heads the Main Directorate for Counterintelligence Protection of State Interests in the Sphere of Economic Security of the SBU, but remains to work within the structure of the SBU.

According to sources, changes in the department, which, in particular, investigates cases against businesses, took place this week.
Before this, the SBU reported, citing sources, that Shilo no longer heads the main department for counterintelligence protection of critical infrastructure facilities and combating the financing of terrorism Forbes Ukraine.
One of the likely reasons for Shilo’s resignation is the unreasonable increase in cases that the SBU is investigating against businesses, a law enforcement source told Forbes. At one of the last meetings, the president personally took control of this issue, the publication’s source added.
At the same time, according to Forbes, the SBU does not disclose who became the new head of the department.
Previously UP wrote that the deputy head of the Presidential Office, Oleg Tatarov, ensures “coordination” of law enforcement agencies. According to UPamong the law enforcement officers who focus on Tatarov, there is also Shilo.
Artem Shilo has been working at the SBU since 2012, and since 2016 he has worked in the department for combating cybercrime.
In 2021, he resigned from the SBU and became advisor Office of the President.
In the summer of 2022, Shilo returned to the SBU as head of the Main Directorate for Counterintelligence Protection of Critical Infrastructure Facilities and Combating the Financing of Terrorism.
“At the beginning of Zelensky’s reign, Artem Shilo worked in the SBU as deputy of the Department of Counterintelligence Protection of State Interests in the Field of Information Security. In anonymous ordered publications, he was accused of stealing money from bank accounts, allegedly carried out with the help of hackers, whose activities were controlled by Shilo’s department.

In 2021, Shilo’s immediate superior Alexei Korniychuk from the Information Security Department and Vasily Malyuk, the then first deputy chairman of the SBU and head of the main department for combating corruption and organized crime (Glavk “K”), were dismissed from the SBU.
Shilo returned to the SBU immediately after it was headed by Vasily Malyuk, noted “Our money”.
