But, sustained in some way by Eros, it shapes a constructed and shared object, expropriated from subjectivity and incorporated into the cultural world. How is the creation of the work put into play? Where do the conditions for creating come from, which for Freud are enigmatic, and “inaccessible to psychoanalysis”? What are the “secrets” that are unleashed in the intimacy of creation?

The foundation of Terapia is not to present a historiography of the discipline, but to constitute an invitation to think through art about the reasons why the psychoanalytic drive is one of the most unique and outstanding features of modern Argentine culture.

The tremendous struggle that takes place in the creative process, pursues the solution of a great problem: how to make the work live, and what promotes that a work lives: that which accounts for that “je ne sais quoi”, of the enigmatic of art. Creative processes in art and psychoanalysis are a key reading that we can go through when thinking about a new idea of ”therapy”.

Psychoanalsis and Art: an unmissable exhibition
On March 19, the exhibition called “Therapy” Organized by MALBA, which addresses the influence of psychoanalysis in Argentine culture, the Argentine Psychoanalytic Association / APA collaborates by bringing to the knowledge of a wide public the history of the beginnings of psychoanalysis in our country and in Latin America.
APA at the beginning of a movement that, by founding the first institution of Psychoanalysis in Latin America, manages to spread psychoanalytic thought, which was a framework in the culture of the country, and its significant influence on discourse and art.
