Vladimir Korolev, first coach of the 17-year-old midfielder of Dynamo Arsen Zaharyan, told about the period of work with the player.
– How did he leave for Dynamo?
– He had been invited to other clubs before, but I advised: “Take your time.” One day he went with his dad to see Zenit. They didn’t take him. A little later, the academy went to the Russian championship, successfully performed in a group with the same Zenit and CSKA. And offers poured in. Seven people from my team received invitations – this is a big deal.
I again advised Arsen not to rush. Well, at the age of fourteen he left for Dynamo. Another guy from my 2003 team moved there, but he lacked character.
Arsen is independent, so he calmly moved to Moscow. We continue to communicate with him, and I see that he remains a decent, purposeful person.
– With what emotions did you watch the game against Akhmat?
– Believe it or not, I knew that he would score. I felt it from a distance. How coolly he cleared away on the swing before the goal! This is a technique he has worked out for a long time. Well done.
It’s good that the Dynamo coach trusts him. I told Arsen since childhood: whether they put it on or not, work, show yourself, don’t expect help from anyone, ” said Korolyov.
