Arnold Schwarzenegger Expresses Desire to Be President of the United States

Arnold Schwarzenegger said that he would be a great president of the United States if he had the opportunity to hold this position, in an interview in which he explained how much he loved living in America.

The bodybuilder turned Hollywood star and former governor of California spoke about his life in the United States and said: “I feel as if I will become a great president.”

In an interview with the BBC to promote his new book, “Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life,” the 76-year-old star said: “I feel, at the same time, that everything I have accomplished was thanks to America… America has given me a lot of Opportunities and the American people were very embracing, and they received me with open arms… There was no one preventing me from succeeding.”

Schwarzenegger cannot run for president according to the US Constitution, which stipulates that candidates must be residents of the United States for 14 years and not be less than 35 years old. While Schwarzenegger meets these two conditions, he does not meet the requirement that presidents be natural born citizens. .

He added: “I mean there is a constitution… We need some immigration reform, for sure, to change that… But it would be a little selfish if you went out and tried to change the law.”

Next year’s electoral battle is likely to be a repeat of the 2020 elections between current President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump. Schwarzenegger said he would prefer the United States to find some “young blood” to vote for it, according to the British newspaper “Mirror”.

“To me, it’s a little strange that we’re fighting a fight today between people in their late 70s and early 80s, rather than people in their 40s and 50s or maybe younger, and giving them a chance at this great job,” the California governor added from 2003 to 2011.
