After the victories over the tumbling teams from Mannheim (3:1) and Duisburg (1:0), people didn’t really trust the roast. Against this background, the game against FC Ingolstadt was a kind of maturity test. Arminia passed it – with some flying colors.

No doubt: the timing to host favorites Hamburger SV as an underdog in the second round of the cup could be worse.
The fact that the gap to relegation place three in the league is now fewer points (five) than the lead to relegation place 17 (six) was not to be expected after the unsuccessful start to the season.
