Arizona and Wisconsin also officially appoint Biden as the winner

Also in Wisconsin and Arizona, Democrat Joe Biden has been officially declared the winner of the presidential election. This confirms Biden’s victory in the last two crucial states that had not yet officially determined the election results.

Normally, such a confirmation is a formality that receives little attention, but this time there is a lot to do as President Trump has made attempts in five states to still turn the result in his favor. He says there was widespread fraud in the presidential elections, without providing any evidence.

Trump now has five days to challenge the results in Wisconsin and Arizona. He has already announced that he will do so, expected today. Biden’s campaign team has said in a response that with the confirmation in Wisconsin, it is clear that no large-scale fraud has been committed.

‘Safe, fair and efficient’

“Today I performed my task and certified the result of the Nov. 3 election,” said Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers, shortly after the election council chairman confirmed the result. He thanked the officials and administrative staff for their hard work in making the election “safe, fair and efficient”, he said.

Last weekend it became clear that the recount that Trump had requested in Wisconsin has brought him nothing. After the recount, Biden turned out to get 132 more votes, giving him a lead of more than 20,000 votes got a little bigger. In Arizona, Biden defeated the president by 10,457 votes.
