Argentine Foreign Minister Philip Sula thanked the American administration, Monday, for its help in efforts to settle the differences between Argentina and its creditors.
Bloomberg News indicated that Sola made this thanks in connection with his US counterpart Mike Pompeo.
“Our government appreciates the degree of engagement and goodwill of President Donald Trump’s administration to contribute to resolving the Argentine debt problem,” said Sola.
Meanwhile, in a telephone conversation with Pompeo, Sola called for a peaceful settlement of the political conflict in Venezuela.
It is noteworthy that Venezuela has been experiencing a political crisis since the beginning of last year when Parliament President Juan Guaido announced himself as acting president of the country, in the presence of President-elect Nicholas Maduro.
Guaido was recognized by a number of countries, including America and Canada, amid a terrible escalation of events in the Latin country, which suffers from an acute economic crisis.
