This night, Argentina did not win only the fifteenth Copa América in its history. According to Globe, the title of champion of South America allows the Argentine federation to pocket a check for 10 million dollars from CONMEBOL. An amount nine times greater than that which Brazil will receive for its status of runner-up (1.1 million). This is in addition to the $ 4M given to each of the 10 caps that took part in the 18th edition of the Copa.
With the exception of Bolivia and Venezuela, eliminated from the group stage, the 8 other teams receive an additional sum according to their classification: from eighth to fifth place, the teams cash between 250,000 and 400,000 dollars, 450,000 $ for Peru (4th), $ 500,000 for Colombia (3rd), $ 1,100,000 for the Auriverdes (2nd) and finally the $ 10,000,000 for the Albiceleste (1st).
