Argentina extends national lockdown due to Corona until October 11

The Argentine government decided to extend the economic and social lockdown measures across the country until October 11, according to a video message posted by the press office of Argentine President Alberto Fernandez.

On Friday, Bloomberg News reported that the letter has authorized local authorities in the regions to define their own measures regarding the closure.

The capital, Buenos Aires, has recently witnessed stability in the number of cases of Coronavirus that causes Covid-19 disease, while 49% of new cases are recorded in the regions.
