Argentina plans to extend its ban on companies with regard to layoffs, until the end of February, Labor Minister Claudio Moroni told the local radio station “La Reed” in Buenos Aires.
Moroni said that although the government is recovering from the decline in economic activity that it has been subjected to due to the Corona virus, it is not yet time to stop this exceptional measure, according to Bloomberg News on Saturday.
This is the fourth extension of that measure, which was implemented in March.
On September 24, Argentina extended that ban until November 30.
