If the government has decided to maintain its aid to the most affected sectors, it has nevertheless decided to reduce them, as the activity of restaurants, bars and tourism will resume. Some traders are preparing, others are worried.

Near the Mediterranean, a campsite is soon full for the summer. At the other end of France, in the Yvelines, a restaurateur is worried: he is always deprived of his foreign tourists. From Tuesday June 1, their aid will begin to decline. The campsite of Sanary-sur-Mer, in the Var, finds its holidaymakers. With 70% of the sites occupied, and an occupancy rate of 80%% for July-August, the establishment should be able to face the gradual decline in the solidarity fund, of 10,000 euros per month so far.

Concretely, with the new calculation rules, 40% of losses in June 2021 will be compensated, then 30% in July, and 20% in August. In the parking lot of the Palace of Versailles, this scenario worries the restaurateur. And for good reason: his restaurant is still closed. On the first floor, a room for groups is usually filled with foreign tourists, who represent 70% of the turnover in the summer. At the same time, according to his calculations, he will receive 20,000 euros in June, 13,000 euros in July, and only 3,000 euros in August. Insufficient sums according to him, as long as the foreigners do not return.
