‘Arctic explosion’ will bring temperatures down to freezing levels

Get ready for a cold Valentine’s Day.

An “arctic blast” will bring to North Texas what is probably the coldest wind chill this winter.

Beginning Tuesday night, temperatures will begin to drop as the cold front takes over the region, report WFAA (channel 8) and KDFW (channel 4).

On Monday, the temperature was in the 60 degrees but the cold air will arrive in the middle of the week and for Friday and Saturday temperatures are expected not to exceed 39 degrees.

On Sunday, February 14, Valentine’s Day, temperatures will continue to be just as low.

During the weekends of the weekend, temperatures will reach lows well below freezing and the trend will likely continue until next weekend.

This is the forecast from NBC5 (KXAS-TV):

Tuesday 49/40

Wednesday 46/33

Thursday 39/25

Friday 39/26

Saturday 35/18
