Apply Now! BCCI Invites Applications for Head Coach of Men’s National Team – Deadline May 27

The Board of Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited applications for the post of Head Coach of the Men’s National Team. Rahul Dravid’s tenure will end after the T20 World Cup in June. The richest cricket board has set a deadline of May 27 to apply for the top job in the senior national team.

The BCCI said in a statement that the appointment will be for 3.5 years from July 1, 2024 to December 31, 2027. Rahul Dravid’s tenure, which was extended after the ODI World Cup, will end thereafter. The T20 World Cup will end on June 29. India will play the Champions Trophy in 2025 and the ODI World Cup in 2027.

“Applications for the post should be submitted by 6pm IST on May 27, 2024. The selection process will include a thorough review of applications and personal interviews and assessment of the candidates on the shortlist,” the BCCI said in a statement.

BCCI Secretary Jai Shah, while speaking to the media last week, confirmed that Rahul Dravid is eligible to reapply for the post of head coach, adding that his tenure will not be extended automatically. – mobile

Jai Shah also did not rule out the possibility of having a foreign coach for the senior national men’s team. Duncan Fletcher is the last foreign coach of Team India. Since then, India has only had former national team players as its head coach – like Ravi Shastri, Anil Kumble and Rahul Dravid.

We cannot find out whether the new coach is an Indian or a foreigner. “That is the decision of the CAC, we are a global organization,” said Shah.
