Apple’s Emergency Move in Targeting the Chinese Market with iPhone 15 Series Release Amidst Bans and Huawei’s Popularity

Apple took an emergency to target the Chinese market while releasing the latest smartphone iPhone 15 series on the 12th.

As iPhone bans were imposed on workers in Chinese public institutions and Huawei’s recently released new smartphone caused a sensation, it faced a major challenge in terms of sales following last year’s production setbacks due to China’s Corona 19 containment policy.

According to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) on the 7th local time, China recently ordered central government officials not to use iPhones for work.

This ‘iPhone ban’ extends beyond government agencies to include state-owned enterprises and other public institutions more broadly.

In addition, a new premium smartphone launched by Huawei, China’s largest telecommunications equipment company, on the 29th of last month is gaining great popularity among consumers.

The ‘Mate 60 Pro’ released by Huawei surprised the world with a built-in 7nm (nanometer, 1 billionth of a meter) process processor that requires advanced semiconductor equipment amidst high-intensity sanctions in the United States.

Huawei has not released a fifth-generation mobile communication (5G) smartphone for the past three years amid US sanctions.

Huawei did not disclose specific specifications, but the download speed of the ‘Mate 60 Pro’ is 500 Mbps (megabytes per second), which is five times that of ordinary Chinese 4G mobile phones.

Prices start at $960, which is less than $999 for the iPhone 14 Pro.

“The Chinese government’s (iPhone) ban and (the popularity of) the new Huawei phones will be significant events for the iPhone,” said Martin Yang, an analyst at Oppenheimer, an American investment firm. will return,” he said.
