Apple will mass produce iPhones February 13, 2022

Selular.ID – Previously, Apple was reported to have cut production of the iPad tablet to allocate more components to the iPhone 13. The latest news says that Apple will produce the flagship iPhone 13 starting in India early next year, at the Foxconn factory in Chennai.

As is well known, Apple has been producing iPhones locally in India for the past few years for the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 series.

Apple will also start mass production of the iPhone 13 in Asian countries starting February 2022. In addition, Apple is rumored to have secured the supply of semiconductor chips needed for mass production.

The plans come following a reported increase in semiconductor supplies in the region, as well as a successful production trial of the 6.1-inch iPhone 13 by Foxconn.

The mass production of Foxconn’s factories is expected to directly supply the local domestic market as well as sustain monitoring demand, with 20-30% of iPhones manufactured in India typically destined for export.

Since the launch of Apple’s iPhone 13 series in September, the iPhone 13 has proven that the iPhone 13 is the most popular model in India, selling more than the high-end iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Even so, the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 are said to be the best-selling iPhones currently in India. Both models are also produced by Foxconn, while the second generation iPhone SE is produced by the Wistron factory in Bengaluru.

Reports earlier in the year said Apple’s Taiwanese supplier Pegatron would share an “iPhone 13” mini order with Foxconn in India, producing the smallest model at its own factory in Chennai. With the addition of the iPhone 13 series to its Indian manufacturing plans, Apple will make nearly 70% of iPhones sold in the country locally.
