Apple lost more than 3% in New York in pre-market trading on Wednesday. According to Bloomberg, citing sources familiar with the matter, the Apple brand is abandoning plans to ramp up production of its new iPhones this year due to weak demand for its devices.

The Cupertino group reportedly asked its suppliers to reduce efforts to increase the assembly of its new iPhone 14 by up to 6 million additional units during the second half of this year, the agency reports. The production target would thus be globally reduced to the initial estimates of 90 million over the period.
