Apple Raises Subscription Prices for iCloud Plus in Multiple Countries

Apple has raised subscription prices for iCloud Plus +iCloud in many countries around the world.

The new increases included some Eastern European countries, the United Kingdom, Scandinavian countries, and several other countries in Latin America and the Middle East.

Apple has kept prices the same in other countries so far, most notably the United States, where subscription prices remain unchanged.

Press reports indicate that this increase comes as a result of the change in the exchange rates of some local currencies against the US dollar, in addition to the high inflation rates.

Pricing for monthly iCloud Plus subscriptions increased by approximately 25%, on average, in countries that experienced a price change.

And users of Apple devices get 5 GB of free iCloud cloud storage when creating an Apple ID account, but in order to upgrade and obtain higher storage capacities, you must subscribe to the iCloud Plus service.

The iCloud Plus service provides different storage spaces with a capacity of 50, 200 GB and 2 TB, in addition to some other features such as the Private Relay feature to maintain user privacy and security, the Hide My Mail feature when registering on websites, services and applications, and other features.

Among the countries covered by the recent increase in prices are the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Turkey, and it is expected that the rest of the markets will witness a similar increase in subscription prices.

It is worth noting that Microsoft also raised the prices of some of its services, such as the Game Pass gaming service, by 20%, and also raised the price of the Xbox Series X gaming device by $ 50.
