This content control function will detect forbidden words. After enabling it, Safari will not be able to search for related keywords. According to the report, “Asian” is listed as an adult word for some reason, and all keywords related to “Asian” cannot be searched, including “Asian Food”, “Asian Culture”, etc. The only exception is “Asian Restaurants” but the reason unknown. Other regions such as “Indian” and “African” are not affected.
Apple has not published a list of banned words or their guidelines for judging adult words. Interestingly, if the content control function is turned on on Safari of macOS, “Asian” can be searched normally.
