Apple is reducing iPad production to have enough chips for iPhones 13

Apple has produced half the iPads less than planned in the past two months. Nikkei also states that the company is transferring to the production of iPhones 13 also components originally intended for older models of its smartphones.

Apple has managed to withstand supply problems better than many other companies. He was able to rely on its strong purchasing power and long-term contracts with chip vendors, which allowed it to steal market share from competitors in the third quarter.

There is a lot of interest in the iPhone 13 in the second half of the year, but the company is struggling with the closure of Asian factories. Apple is now preferring to make the device because it is facing more demand for a pandemic in Western markets than for iPads, Nikkei writes. The company has previously stated that it plans to produce 90 million of these latest smartphones this year.

The cheapest of Apple ‘s newly discovered devices is the iPhone 13 mini – which costs CZK 19,990 with 128GB of memory. However, the most equipped 512GB variant will already cost CZK 29,190. The classic iPhone 13 will always cost three thousand more, ie CZK 22,990 (128 GB) and CZK 32,190 (512 GB). There is also a medium, 256GB version on sale for CZK 22,990 for the iPhone 13 mini and for CZK 25,990 for the iPhone 13.

However, the best in the offer of the American computer giant is represented by novelties with the word Pro in the name. These are offered with capacities of 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB. For the largest storage capacity, the price climbed to a staggering CZK 44,390 for the iPhone 13 Pro, and even to CZK 47,390 for the larger iPhone 13 Pro. Of course, the prices of the basic 128GB version are far more favorable, the iPhone 13 Pro starts at CZK 28,990 and the iPhone 13 Pro Max at CZK 31,990.

Apple increased its net profit more than 62 percent year-over-year to $ 20.6 billion ($ 453.7 billion) in the third fiscal quarter from $ 12.7 billion a year ago. However, due to supply chain problems, the company lost $ 6 billion in revenue in the quarter. Shares of Apple weakened in response last week, knocking Microsoft down as the world’s largest company by market capitalization.
