“My Photo Stream” is a feature that allows users to access recent photos taken on their iPhone, iPad, iPod, or photos uploaded from their Mac, PC, in a new album. name “My Photo Stream” or “My Photo Stream,” where those photos will be available in the album for 30 days.

(My Photo Stream and iCloud Photo Storage are separate, if both are enabled. The system will upload to both channels, which are considered redundant)



Recently, Apple announced that My Photo Stream will be discontinued on July 26, 2023. Uploading of new images to My Photo Stream will stop on that date. Photos uploaded to My Photo Stream 30 days prior to that date will remain in iCloud for 30 days from the date of upload and continue to show up across devices, but on February 26th. July 2023 My Photo Stream will close.

Apple reveals that photos in My Photo Stream are now saved to at least one user’s device. Turning off My Photo Stream doesn’t make them disappear. But you have to see for yourself which device the original image came from.

If the user wants to save the images of My Photo Stream on their desired device. can be done by

• iPhone, iPad, iPod : Open the Photos app > tap “Albums” > tap “My Photo Stream” > tap the share icon > tap “Save Photo”.
• Mac : Open the Photos app > tap “My Photo Stream” album > select the photo you want to save > drag the photo to the library.

The closure of My Photo Stream is partly due to Apple’s push for iCloud to keep photos and videos on all devices in one place. And every device with iCloud turned on will always be up to date with new images.
