Apartments evacuated after gas line accident – NBC Dallas (39)

TEXAS – Officers with the Dallas Fire Department arrived immediately after a reported accident involving a gas line.

The events occurred Tuesday afternoon when construction workers struck the line near some apartments located between Martel Avenue and Mockingbird.

As a precautionary measure, firefighters explained that residents of six units of the apartment complex in the lower part were evacuated until Atmos technicians made the necessary repairs.

Although no one was injured or affected by the accident with the gas line, agents explain that the residents would work with the management of the apartments so that they could spend the night in other units.
