Antonio Ruediger will continue his career at Real Madrid. The German defender is tied to a four-year contract.
Ruediger contract together Chelsea expires on June 30th. He will become a Madrid player on a free transfer after his contract expires.
Real Madrid announced the transfer of Ruediger on Thursday (2/6/2022).
“Real Madrid CF have reached an agreement to sign Antonio Ruediger, who has joined on a four-year deal,” read a statement on Madrid’s official website.
Antono Ruediger will be officially introduced as a Real Madrid player on 20 June. The 29-year-old will then hold a press conference.
“I am proud to announce that I will be joining Real Madrid. I am very excited for all the challenges that will come and can’t wait to play my first game with this great club,” Ruediger wrote on his Twitter account.
Antonio Ruediger previously played for Chelsea for five years. He made 203 appearances and helped lead the Blues to the Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup, Club World Cup and European Super Cup.
