Antje Monteiro had to lose weight from Joop van den Ende: ‘Such a comment is no longer possible’

“I still remember well that producer Joop van den Ende came to me and my opponent after the press presentation and said: ‘Now just lose a few kilos, girls, then it’s perfect.’ I thought his opinion was important and immediately started dieting until I was five kilos lighter.”

But there was the costume maker from Aida less happy. During the try-outs, Antje’s clothes were suddenly much too big.

“If I think about it now, a producer would of course never be able to make a comment like that again, huh”, Antja continues in the magazine. “You know what it is: I’m short in stature. When I arrive, you see it immediately.”
