The Zone 8 health coordinator, Dr. Alexa Zambrano, explained that in Guayaquil, Durán and Samborondón there are 115 health centers that will be authorized by the MSP for immunization.

In addition to the health centers, there are still seven vaccination points in Guayaquil Durán and Samborondón. They are Mucho Lot 1, at the José Joaquín de Olmedo airport, at the Modelo stadium, at the Terminal 25 Julio of the Metrovía and at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Guayaquil; the Durán Convention Center and the Samborondón Coliseum. Three of them are managed by the Municipality of Guayaquil.

Nagib Chagenber, head of logistics for municipal vaccinations, explained that the dose allocation remains the same as before the change in strategy of the vaccination plan. More than 1,500 daily doses of the four available vaccines are delivered at the Estadio Modelo esplanade, at Mucho Lote 1 and at the Terminal de la Metrovía 25 de Julio.
