Anthony Sinisuka Ginting to Face Anders Antonsen in Singapore Open 2023 Final: Head-to-Head Record and More

Anthony Sinisuka Ginting will face Anders Antonsen in the finals Singapore Open 2023. This will be the eighth meeting between the two players.

Ginting qualified for the 2023 Singapore Open final after Kunlavut Vitidsarn withdrew in the semifinals which was held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, Saturday (10/6) evening WIB. Vitidsarn retired injured 19-21, 21-11, 6-1 in favor of Ginting.

Ginting made history by entering the final. He became the first men’s singles to qualify for the Singapore Open final three times in a row.


Meanwhile, Antonsen advanced to the final of the 2023 Singapore Open after winning a fierce three-game duel against Kodai Naraoka. Having lost the first game, Antonsen won 19-21, 21-16, 21-17.

The final between Ginting and Antonsen will be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, Sunday (11/6). The Ginting vs Antonsen duel will be in the fourth match in the final round which starts at 13.00 WIB.

Judging from the head to head record, Ginting won 5-2 over Antonsen. In 2023, the two players have met twice.

Ginting won over Antonsen in the last 16 of the Malaysia Open 2023 last January. However, Ginting then lost to the Danish badminton player in the next meeting in the 2023 All England quarterfinals.

Ginting will try to defend the title he won last year. He is the only defending Singapore Open champion to reach the final this year.
