It’s official, Anthony Mackie (The Falcon) will succeed Chris Evans in the next Captain America.
The Marvel cinematic universe has greatly expanded with the arrival of the series on Disney +. Indeed, with The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Samuel Wilson took over from Steve Rogers, as well as his shield, as the new Captain America. Just like in the comics.
Because of this, it almost made sense for Anthony Mackie to headline the upcoming Captain America movies. The project of a new film was announced in April 2021. This time, Marvel confirms that Anthony Mackie will therefore play the main role for the 4th Captain America. Indeed, the actor has just signed an agreement with Marvel / Disney.
