Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Entering the weekend, gold prices on the logammulia site owned by PT Aneka Tambang Tbk and on the Pegadaian site moved in opposite directions. Antam’s gold strengthened following the global trend, while gold in Pegadaian was still weak.
On Saturday (29/9/2020), the price of gold on the Antam website moved up Rp. 15,000 per gram to Rp. 1,027,000. The price of 10 gram gold bullion, which is also the reference price, was recorded to have strengthened to Rp 9,765,000 per bar, or Rp. 976,500 per gram.
The increase occurred after Antam’s gold price weakened on Friday, although the price of the precious metal on the global market rose 1.85% from Thursday’s position (US $ 1928.9 / troy ounce) to US $ 1,964.5 per troy ounce, according to Revinitif data.
Meanwhile, the price of gold at Pegadaian has been depressed. The price of 1 gram of gold produced by Antam at the Pegadaian window fell by Rp. 7,000 on Saturday, to Rp. 1,052,000.
As the second seller, Pegadaian’s gold price is indeed higher than Antam’s gold, which is currently at the level of IDR 1,027,000.
All Pegadaian gold prices above 1 gram weaken. Gold weighing 100 grams is priced at IDR 99,580,000 / stick, reduced by IDR 725,000 compared to yesterday’s price. Meanwhile, 1 kilogram of gold was pegged at the price of IDR 988,904,000 / stick.
Antam’s retro gold price also weakened. Today’s retro gold weighing 1 gram is priced at Rp. 976,000 / stick, down to Rp. 10,000 per gram. Antam’s retro gold is old packaged gold, where the gold chip and certificate are separate.
A decrease of the same magnitude also occurred for Antam batik gold, where the price of 1 gram of gold was priced at IDR 1,179,000 / stick or decreased by IDR 10,000 / gram. Antam batik gold price is the most expensive compared to other types, but at Pegadaian it only sells 0.5 and 1 gram units.
The price of UBS gold also weakened by Rp. 8,000 per gram to Rp. 1,025,000.
