Around 15,000 square meters of field were on fire near Ansbach in the Main Spessart district on Wednesday afternoon. The area is about the size of two soccer fields.
The light wind allowed the fire to spread comparatively easily. In addition to 40 firefighters, farmers who came with water barrels, among other things, also helped.
After about an hour, all the flames were out.
