Another warning about traveling to Ukraine

People who decide to stay in Ukraine should, according to Sunday recommendation Take care of the Czernin Palace and use an evacuation plan in case of emergency.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned against travel to Ukraine and Belarus on Saturday due to the escalation of the threat of Russian military aggression against Ukraine. The Czechs who are there were advised to consider leaving these countries. On Sunday, the Office explained the recommendation “increasing the likelihood of a sudden and significant deterioration in the security situation.”

The current version of the recommendation warns the Ministry of Foreign Affairs against travel to Ukraine. “If you are in Ukraine, consider leaving the country. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is urging citizens who are considering leaving Ukraine by air to do so without delay due to a possible reduction or suspension of airline services,” the statement said. Czech diplomacy strongly warns citizens against traveling or staying in the border areas in the east and north of Ukraine.

Citizens who have stayed in Ukraine for a short or long time have been called upon by diplomacy to register in the Drozd system, which is used by Czech embassies, for example, to inform tourists about emergencies such as natural disasters or terrorist attacks.

People who choose to stay despite warnings should use extreme caution. “Watch the credible media and have an emergency evacuation plan in place. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns that in the event of a military conflict, it will have very limited opportunities to provide assistance and protection to Czech citizens in Ukraine,” added the Czernin Palace.
