I immediately felt a severe pain, but could not yet estimate the nature and seriousness of my injury. In recent days, research has shown that I have an ankle injury that will sideline me for the next few months. I am very disappointed by this situation, but I have now switched the button: I will do everything I can to be available again as soon as possible, and hopefully this season.”

sport">Veerman was taken over from SC Heerenveen in January and was immediately embraced by the Utrecht supporters on his debut against SC Cambuur, when he was brought in at a 2-0 deficit and turned the game around. He has been a regular player ever since.
