The National Sanda Open, a Chinese boxing practice, was held this weekend in Poitiers. Nicolas Jégo, coach of the club Karate defense shoto contact (KDSC) and Team Morbihan, made the trip with three of his competitors, who are also his three children. They came back with a new shower of medals.
“Less seasoned in this discipline which they practice little, the siblings still reach the podium by achieving a great competition. The eldest, Émeline Jégo, and her sister Youena won the gold medal. Gabriel Jégo, upgraded to the next weight category, won the bronze medal. I observe the work done and the experience gained. They managed to put in place some things that we had been working on. There are others that we will have to deepen, ”says the coach and demanding father with his children.
Next step for the coach and his team, the French mixed karate championship in Paris in 15 days.
