The crime of stalking in 2018, it was the fourth to register more victims in Portugal. O stalking, or persistent harassment, has been criminally registered in the Penal Code since 2015.

The finding is from the Portuguese Association for Victim Support (APAV), which, regarding the National Forum on the theme taking place in Braga on March 10, recalls “the current alarming rates of violence (be it gender, domestic, dating) , bullying… and also stalking) ”.

The Forum, which debates the topic “Stalking and violence in intimate relationships ”, is organized by the Rotary Nucleus of Community Development Rota Solidária (NRDC-RS), sponsored by the Rotary Club Braga Norte, taking place in the Aula Magna of the Catholic University of Braga.

The 2nd National Forum – add the promoters – “puts the focus on Prevention and wants to think about the causes and consequences of these expressions of violence that are increasingly having an impact on society and on each one of us”.
