The luxury cruise SeaDream 1 launched from Tromsø two days ago, and is now at Reine in Lofoten. According to yesterday’s new cruise rules, no one from the ship is allowed to go ashore, and due to the positive test in Denmark, none of the passengers are allowed to leave their cabins. The ship is now heading for Bodø.
The National Institute of Public Health (NIPH) confirms to Aftenposten that they are aware of the case of infection, and that they assist the shipping company with the handling.
– We are not aware that any other guests or crew are infected or have any symptoms of infection, but of course we take all precautions immediately, it is stated in the letter to the passengers on board.
SeaDream 1 sailed from Oslo to Tromsø from 21 July to 2 August.
