Anies’ tenure was alluded to by the KPK when giving news on the Jakarta Formula E case

Anies Baswedan is calculating the time of his tenure as Governor of DKI Jakarta. This matter was brought up by the KPK in connection with an investigation into the alleged corruption behind the implementation of the Jakarta Formula E electric car racing event.

As is known, the KPK is still searching for information related to the Jakarta Formula E case. The latest news was conveyed by the Deputy Chair of the KPK, Alexander Marwata regarding the investigation of the case.

At first, Alex–as he is affectionately called–mentioned that KPK investigators were still investigating various information related to Formula E. One of the things being investigated was regarding the implementation of Formula E in other countries.

“So far the investigation process is ongoing and we are still looking for information, for example regarding how Formula E is organized in other countries. Is there any kind of commitment fee and so on. We are also trying to ask for information from the party who received the transfer of funds from the DKI Provincial Government, ” said Alex at his office, Jalan Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday (26/4/2022).

The issue of the commitment fee has indeed become one of the focuses of the KPK investigation. At least it is stated that there has been a disbursement of funds from the DKI Provincial Government of Rp. 560 billion.

Back to Alex’s description. He said that Jakpro as the organizer of Formula E Jakarta still needed a statement.

“Of course later we will continue to explore including from Jakpro as the organizer, how it will be implemented, the development of the plan to organize Formula E, how the study will be, for example, whether the results of the feasibility study are indeed projects or event activities that are feasible or profitable from a business perspective, right? said Alexander.

“The Ministry of Home Affairs has also stated that the local government budget should not be used for events with business purposes, so the implementation must be B2B, so it cannot be financed with the APBD budget. ,” added Alexander.
