Anies Baswedan showcases Jakarta International Stadium, one of the most complicated infrastructures in the world.

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The presidential candidate from the Coalition for Change for Unity (KPP) Anies Baswedan showcased the construction of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), which was built when he was still the Governor of DKI Jakarta.

This is because JIS infrastructure is one of the most complicated in the world.

This was conveyed by Anies in his national address at the peak of the 21st Anniversary of the PKS, Istora Senayan, Jakarta, Saturday (20/5/2023).

“In Jakarta, there is JIS which broke a world record because the infrastructure built is one of the most complicated in the world,” said Anies.

Anies also explained how complex JIS development is. According to him, because of its complexity, JIS is said to be a lesson for the whole world.

In addition, he said, the development of JIS is also done by the children of the nation. He claimed JIS was done without using foreign workers.

“Having to lift a roof that weighs 36,000 tons, like 24,000 cars together, is done with high complexity, even the National Geographic MegaStructures program puts this as one of the projects that should be a lesson for the whole world,” said Anies.

“And who built it? All the children born to Indonesian mothers, who were educated in Indonesia, who went to school in Indonesia, did not use outside labor. They are just as great, the world is enchanting with the work of Indonesian children,” he continued.

Meanwhile, Anies brought up the changes that must be made in Indonesia going forward.

He considered, in every leadership, there must be developments that must be corrected and added.

“In the Shura Assembly’s message earlier, that the changes we are making are complete changes, where there are things that are continued, there are things that are corrected, there are things that are added, and there are things that have not worked that must be stopped. It is a comprehensive change, ” he added.
