Andy “Fletch” Fletcher, one of the creators and a longtime member of Depeche Mode, is dead. He was associated with the team from the very beginning. His colleagues from the group informed about the artist’s death. “We are shocked,” confess David Gahan and Martin Gore.

At the age of 60 Andrew Fletcher, British musician and co-founder of Depeche Mode, died. His bandmates informed about the artist’s death.

We are shocked and overwhelmingly sad about the departure of our dear friend, family member and band Andy “Fletch” Fletcher. He had a heart of gold and he was always there for us when we needed support or conversation. Our hearts are with his family – Depeche Mode group reported on social media.

The news about the departure of a Depeche Mode member shocked the fans of the band. In an official announcement the cause of Andy Fletcher’s death has not been stated. The artist would have turned 61 in July.

Andrew John Fletcher was born on July 8, 1961 in Nottingham, central England. He played on keyboards and bass guitar. Was one of the founders of the Depeche Mode group formed in 1980. He performed with his band mates David Gahan and Martin Gore for over forty years until his death.

Depeche Mode is one of the most influential bands in the history of electronic music. The group released fourteen studio albums and launched dozens of hits.
