Andrew Benintendi has signed a five-year, $75 million deal with the Chicago White Sox.
But first Andrew Benintendi sent a message to the New York Yankees as he thought they would do what it took to keep him.
The outfielder applauded the White Sox’ desire to acquire him even though the Yankees didn’t have someone like him in the outfield.
New York acquired him from the Kansas City Royals at the 2022 deadline.
But as far as Benintendi is concerned, the Bronxers simply didn’t appreciate his job by trading him ASAP.
“It’s fun to be a part of what you want, what you really want,” Beningtendi said at a White Sox news conference.

The Yankees had reason to suspect that the player suffered a right wrist injury that prevented him from qualifying for the playoffs.
And he finished his tenure with the team with a .254/.331/.404 offensive line. and 12 RBIs.
“Since day one of the off season, there has been communication. There was always a lot of interest” Benintendi said.
