Anderlecht to resume training on a voluntary basis

Anderlecht will be the second Belgian club to return to training after Genk. From Monday, the Mauves will reopen their center to all players who wish to resume activities within the club. Vincent Kompany took this initiative. The captain took over between the players and the club staff to slowly get out of the confinement.

“From Monday, players are welcome at Neerpede for traditional sessions, obviously respecting safety and hygiene regulations. There is no obligation: everything is done on a voluntary basis, players who do not feel reassured can continue to work at home. But each player present at Neerpede will observe the safety distances and the coaches will direct the exercises while respecting the social distance. It will be mainly physical training, but also with a ball: I am thinking, for example, of goalkeepers. All the equipment used will be disinfected, before and after each session. Players will not have access to the locker room, everyone will change and shower at home. There will be a designated parking space for everyone, players will be rotated according to a specific schedule to avoid any risk ”said David Steegen, the club’s press manager at the RTBF.
