This Thursday, May 5, 30 ES final year students from the Montchapet high school in Dijon will debate current events and topics that interest them, worry them, question them, in “And we young“, a live broadcast on our YouTube channel from 5:00 p.m.

“In the media, we don’t often give young people a voice and since we are young too, the goal is for it to be a program dedicated to young people, made by young people and intended for young people”, says Bamba Gueye, who will co-host the program with Auberi Verne, two journalists working alternately at France 3 Bourgogne.
Concretely, the pupils will be divided into 5 groups, each one will intervene in turn on one of the themes which concerns them. “It’s a laid-back show. We’ll get them talking. The idea is for them to debate a little. We want them to be the ones talking. We’re here to make the connection and distribute the word” , describes Auberi Verne.
Will then be discussed: the war in Ukraine, public services, the right to life in France, the climate and the future. Topics chosen by the students themselves. “We have been preparing the show for months. We met this class several times. Then they worked on their side”explains Bamba Gueye.
And you, behind your phone or computer screen, you can directly participate in the show by leaving your comments and opinions live. A chat will indeed be open to spectators. A journalist from the editorial staff will take care of relaying your messages and getting the students to react.
