This year’s edition of World Mental Health Day will be held on October 10 in Spain with the motto ‘Mental health and well-being, a global priority’, chosen by a 47.9% of the users participating in the online voting organized by the Confederation MENTAL HEALTH Spain, member of We are patients.
“As in previous editions,” says the organization, “we join the theme proposed by the World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH), which in 2020 will focus on defending a universal and equitable access to the services of care and prevention mental health. It is a vindication that our Confederation and our associative movement have been doing for years, but now, after the crisis of COVID-19, it becomes more necessary and urgent never”.
The vote, In which they proposed five options for the motto, it has had the participation of about 2,500 users. A system of choice that has fulfilled its seventh edition and with which, as MENTAL HEALTH Spain explains, “the participation of all the entities and people linked to our associative movement, as well as any other person interested in issues related to mental health ”.
The other options presented were ‘Mental Health asks for visibility’ –Who obtained 16.5% of the votes–, ‘Mental health accessible to all people’ (13.6%), Mental Mental health, crossroads of realities ’ (12.6%) and Yamos Let’s Build Sustainable Resilience ’ (9.5%).
