Carlo Ancelotti can’t hold back the tears after carrying Real Madrid Spanish League champions as well as ordained himself as the only coach to conquer the top five European leagues.
Ancelotti managed to enter the Spanish League title in his achievements cabinet. Ancelotti’s success was achieved after Los Merengues beat Espanyol 4-0 in the Spanish League continued at the Santiago Bernabeu, Saturday (30/4) night WIB.
Ancelotti’s squad ensured the title because their points as the leader of the standings would not be able to be pursued by their eternal rival, Barcelona if they were able to wipe out the remaining five games. Madrid currently has 81 points, while Barcelona, who is in third place, has only 63 points.
Ancelotti felt the emotion after the match. It’s even more special because the Italian coach is the only coach who can win in Europe’s top five leagues.
Ancelotti won the league title for the first time with AC Milan 2003/2004 season. His cold hands continued to win the domestic league with Chelsea 2009/2010, Paris Saint-Germain 2012/2013, Bayern Munich 2016/2017, and this season with Madrid.
Reported by Opta, Ancelotti is also the oldest coach to lead a team to win the Spanish League. Ancelotti led Madrid to the title at the age of 62 years and 325 days.
“I am very proud of [sukses] this. I had a long season, but I still enjoyed it,” said Ancelotti, who had tears in his eyes Daily Mail.
“Now I’m with Real Madrid, and to be able to win with Real Madrid is very special. It’s the first time for me to win the title at Real Madrid [Santiago] The Bernabeu, and the atmosphere here is so special.”
Ancelotti previously managed Madrid from 2013-15 but failed to win the Spanish League title. In his first period, Madrid won the Champions League, Club World Cup, European Super Cup and King’s Cup.
