The Egyptian Medicines Authority has sent an urgent message to citizens about counterfeit pharmaceutical preparations, as counterfeit medicines and preparations are defined as medicines manufactured outside the legitimate pharmaceutical production system, so that they look like the original medicines.
The Egyptian medicines authority said: “The counterfeit medicine may contain active substances in the wrong proportion, wrong and ineffective ingredients, or it may not contain any active substances at all.”
