an opening partnership between de Baudre and Florida

For the second year in a row, De Baudre high school in Agen and Florida are collaborating on a project creating meeting spaces between programmed foreign artists and high school students.

Last year, 120 students participated in the seven events organized as part of this partnership.

“The objective is first and foremost cultural and linguistic openness”, explains Elodie Aguilar (professor of history and geography, European section).

“The Florida opens its doors, allowing students to discover artists but also the performing arts,” she continues.

For Florent Beneteau, director of Florida, these meetings are also an opportunity for students and artists to go “further in the exchange, to go beyond the purely sound aspect”.

Festival Beatbox battle

As part of the Beatbox battle festival organized in Florida, students from Baudre high school will be able to meet for workshops or discussions with some big names in the discipline such as Tioneb, with whom the high school students have already been able to work on productions that will be offered during the festival on April 17 and 18.

“After the beatbox, we continue with Alsarah, a Sudanese artist who has agreed to meet the students, before her concert scheduled for March 20 at 9 pm” smiles the director of Florida.
