The Ministry of Health and Population added that on the 18th of May 2020, the aforementioned doctor showed symptoms of high temperature, as a smear was made on the same day and sent to the central laboratories, and on the next day, May 19th, a positive test result for Corona virus appeared and the doctor was given the necessary treatment According to the treatment protocol.

The Ministry of Health continued: On May 22, 2020, the doctor came to Al-Munirah Hospital due to the appearance of some symptoms (chest pain and shortness of breath) and was detained on the same day in the hospital, and coordination was made immediately to transfer the case to Nasr City Health Insurance Hospital “one of the isolation hospitals” on Saturday Corresponding to May 23.

And she continued: Then the case was received at Nasr City Hospital for Health Insurance on the morning of Saturday, May 23, where he was given the necessary medications and the treatment followed according to the treatment protocols of the Ministry of Health and Population, but there was a pause in the muscle of the heart and he did not respond to the attempts of CPR, and he passed away on Sunday morning May 24, 2020.

Initial investigations have resulted in some administrative deficiencies in dealing with the situation inside the hospital, and the formed committee is currently investigating the precise identification of those responsible for this deficiency and the responsibility of each of them in preparation for taking the necessary administrative measures towards them, and the Ministry of Health will announce these procedures once the committee finishes its investigations.
