An incident with a 737Max in Arizona sets off alarms | Tourism News News

Brace yourselves because from now on, even the smallest incident involving a 737 Max plane will take up pages and pages in the newspapers. As it has already started to happen.

Last Tuesday the 22nd, an airplane of this model, owned by Air Canada, suffered a problem aired in all the American media. He was on his way from Arizona to Montreal when he suffered an engine problem. Nothing to do with the usual breakdown in these devices.

The plane only carried three people on board because it was not in service. The plane apparently took off from Pinal Air Park in Arizona, an aircraft depot. The plane, presumably, was about to rejoin the company to restart operations. He was immediately diverted to the Tucson airport, in the same state of Arizona.

Air Canada immediately reported that the plane presented a warning of an incident in one of the two engines and that the pilots, in response to the warning, decided to turn it off and land at the first available airport.

The landing took place without incident and last night, Saturday, the aircraft was still there.

According to other sources, the incidence would be related to the low hydraulic pressure in the left engine.

Air Canada said the planes are perfectly prepared to fly with a single engine in the event of an incident on the other.

Boeing, which must be terrified by the bad image that otherwise totally normal aviation incidents can generate, did not respond to requests for clarification from the media.
