An immersive podcast immerses you in the past lives of Roubaix

The Roubaix tourist office has created Your Past Lives, a podcast in seven episodes, with the help of the company Koltrain, available on all platforms. Each episode retraces part of the industrial history of the city. The idea is to highlight the textile heritage through different symbolic places.

Roubaix is proud of its history. Borrowing from a strong industrial past, it was the cradle of textiles in the North. The city took advantage of a major boom in the 19th century to experience its golden age at the beginning of the 20th century. But you know the adage, after the rain comes the good weather. The crisis, the strikes… Roubaix settles down and finally, Roubaix recovers. Retail, culture, urban art, here she isin the era of time.

The opportunity to travel back in time among the buildings of the urban jungle.

“Your past lives in Roubaix”

The podcast is divided into seven episodes for seven iconic locations. Each of them recounts a life prior to “man’s height“. It’s more surprising and more engaging.” Think of it as a way to reinforce immersion by appealing to emotion. Of course, it is advisable to listen to this while strolling through the streets of the city. Everything was entirely done by the start-up Koltraininstalled at EuraTechnologies. Dominique Pie handled the script and Jay Gimenez (Skip The Use) the sound. For voiceovers, you will hear Eléonore Bianchi et Thomas Baelde. Allow about 10 minutes per episode.
