The fall was cushioned by the snow, and that probably saved him
An incident occurred in the area of the Svatovo-Kremennaya line, when an infantry fighting vehicle tried to advance in one of the directions to take a defensive position, written by foreign agencies.
As a result of an unidentified missile hitting the combat vehicle (judging by the video, the impact came from an anti-tank system immediately below the BMP-2 – note ed.), the ammunition detonated and the gunner-operator of the combat vehicle was thrown out through the open hatch. Despite the fact that the latter flew about 15 meters, he managed to survive, which seemed completely incredible – the fall was softened by the snow.
You can see the moment of the accident in the presented video footage. As soon as the combat vehicle was detonated, the operator-gunner flew out of the left turret hatch at high speed. The latter, it seems, was thrown at a height of 12-15 meters, but managed to survive, although he suffered serious injuries to his limbs.
Experts call this situation extremely unusual, since the case itself is absolutely unique – such explosions of military vehicles usually end in the death of those inside.
