The economic proposals that the PP has sent to Moncloa focus on the excess tax collection due to the increase in inflation that, according to the calculations of organizations such as AIReF, could reach 18,000 million euros.
A credible figure if we take into account that only up to February revenues have exceeded forecasts by 7,500 million. In this way, the measures proposed by the popular, such as returning the extra money to the measured and low incomes, would not imply any reduction in the deficit reduction objectives. An assumable strategy that, despite the Government’s efforts to discredit it before even reading it, would place Spain on the same path of tax reductions that other European countries are following.
