Clowntown Amsterdam wants to impose its will on the rest of the country once again.
The Board (consisting of GroenLinks, D66, PvdA and SP) wants Keti Koti – that is 1 julo, so today – to become a national holiday. Amsterdam officials should therefore be allowed to be released.
“The Amsterdam city council should nominate Keti Koti as a recognized national holiday, according to the PvdA, which took the initiative, GroenLinks, Denk, Bij1, SP, Party for the Animals and ChristenUnie, who sign the proposal and thus support it. These parties account for 26 of the 45 votes in the city council, a majority. Amsterdam should also join the collective that brings the wish for recognition to the attention of the government.
If it succeeds, Keti Koti, the commemoration of the abolition of slavery, will be added to the list of Kings Day, Easter, Christmas, Liberation Day and a few more holidays. ”
