Ammunition, drones and $800 million: new US military aid package for Ukraine

Correspondent Marieke de Vries:

“A significant portion of Americans do not support Biden’s approach to the war in Ukraine a poll by Ipsos found that 52 percent of the population at the end of last month thought he was not doing a good job.

It is therefore difficult for him to convince the general public that America’s support for Ukraine is also of great importance to Americans. The average American sees the prices of daily living rising and at the same time sees billions being given to Ukraine.

Biden tries to explain that by stating that the Ukrainians are fighting on the front lines of freedom. So also fight for the freedom of the Americans. Congress is aware of that; both Republicans and Democrats support the billions being spent and are willing to pledge more money for military support. However, the call is getting louder to appoint a security coordinator to oversee spending for Ukraine.”
